I have just been starting to learn about poker.

What about the members of this forum? How long have you been enjoying this game? Have you really won and lost? How much?

I have been learning to play Texas hold em for about 2 months. But my ex refuses to play with me anymore, he says I should play against the dog cos then I may have a chance of winning - the cat would definitely beat me, he is way too smart.

So I haven't really played because I know that if I did I would lose alot of money very quickly. Don't worry if I get good enough to play against others and if I win even if it is only a dollar you guys will be the first to know.

LOL, that is nice, Lynn but since there are free online pokers in the net, maybe you just practice first, at least you still play the game and who knows, time will come that you will be able to tell your ex that you have improved a lot and you can impress him

Its been awhile, and i cant even count 10+ years, in the nevada forum i think i put 14 years, but i forgot of when i even played poker. I still remember the days of the original poker ahh..but nowadays, its all about hold em hold em hold em!

Same! But i've really been in into it for the past couple years since i can actually control my money. And i can say that i was more successful in gambling than being "unsuccesful"
