Just came across this tip:
"Reduce the number of hands you call with preflop. What I mean by this is not to fold, but if the hand you have is good enough to call with in your situation it is more than likely good enough to raise with. "
Can you cite a concrete example to better understand this? |

When you don't have a hand preflop I would always say fold, otherwise you are throwing away money because you are never going to win if you have a poor hand before the flop. It isn't going to cahnge dramatically after the flop.
However if you have a decent hand always raise, don't just call, this way you are likely to win more money than you would have in the first place. |
