Hi, I'm trying to tighten up my game and track my money. I have leaks and sometimes flood gates. Going with Sklansky's hand groups, ( 1,2,3 ect). If my hand calling % is around 20-30%, depending on the type of game I'm in (loose/tight, passive/aggrssive) , what would be a realistic hand winning percentage?? 25%, 30% 50% ????

I'm not sure if you are asking about overall winning percentages, or win percentages on hands you play. In an overall sense, I would think winning anywhere between 8%-12% of the total hands you are dealt is probably pretty good.

My basic statistics after the past 12,000 hands are as follows:

Percent flops seen-39% This includes the blinds, but keep in mind I spend most of my time playing NL where there are five or fewer players at the table. I prefer short handed because it allows me to play more hands.

Win % when flop seen-32% To me, this seems pretty reasonable. One out of three times I see the flop, I win the pot.

Win % at showdown-67% Two out of three times I show down a hand, it's a winner. If I'm in there, I expect to win the pot, and usually I do.

My overall win rate-12%

I play mainly limit ring games (typically $1/$2 on-line and $3/$6 in casinos). My win percentage is VERY consistently 12% of the total hands I see.

In fact, my statistics for the past 2000 hands are below. Interesting half the hands I won without showdown and half I won with:

2000 hands played and saw flop:
- 94 times out of 226 while in small blind(41%)
- 170 times out of 221 while in big blind(76%)
- 381 times out of 1553 in other positions(24%)
- a total of 645 times out of 2000 (32%)

Pots won at showdown - 126 out of 234 (53%)
Pots won without showdown - 123

38.6% of the times I see a flop, I win the hand and my overall win rate is 12.5%

I average 20%-30% of flops seen depending on how the play of the table is going. When lots of people are seeing the flop, sometimes it pays to see the flop with them (better pot odds). My win % ranges between 10% - 15%.

I see about 22-25% of flops and win about 33-36% of the flops that I see for an overall win percentage of about 10-12%.

Hi, these are my stats

1022 hands played and saw flop:
99 times out of 170 while in small blind (58%)
146 times out of 171 while in big blind (85%)
188 times out of 681 in other positions (27%)
a total of 433 times out of 1022 (42%)

Pots won at showdown - 83 out of 177 (46%)
Pots won without showdown - 84

So for this small sample, my flops seen, my win % is 42.1%, and my overall win % is 18%.

But I can't stay in the positive, I play a lot of SnG NL, usually $15+1, I don't play that many ring games or fixed limit games. I don't know, maybe the NL is hurting me. If I play solid cards, is the regular fixed limit the way to go, whether it be a ring game or a fixed limit SnG. There would be less of a roller coaster ride on the money and maybe I would more likely start showing a profit. Also I like playing in the Multi-table tourny's, but there almost always NL, and I don't want to get out of the groove playing NL.
