I have read that poker is popular because people at home believe that they can be a part of it and anyone can win.
In your opinion, why is poker popular? |

I think it is because of two reasons.
1. It is not percieved to be eliteist. Anybody can sit down and play.
2. It can be televised. It is watchable. |

| it's got a wonderful reputation as being THE game of the old West and of tough guys... it's just got taht romantic feel to it... and it seems easy to learn, but hard to master! |

| This is 'the' game for everyone, for family and friends. We can play it during the weekend or play it when we are bored. I think that makes it a great game for everyone. |

Haha, thats mad funny! "The wonderful repuation in teh old West" I completely forgot they played poker in the west (which was a hella long time ago!), but why is poker so popular? Its a source of money if your good at it, and even if your bad it still attracts you to it. |

| The main reason that it is so popular is because it is on TV all the time. Practically anything that is on TV or anything you see celebrities doing becomes popular, regardless what it is. |

| I think it's so popular because it's so versatile. As has already been said, anyone can play. Also, they can play for a wide range of reasons, from playing just for social fun and playing professionally as a job. |

I think this is because you have got the feelings that you will again and thats drive you to go again and again at there. This become more strong when you are loosing and expecting to win again.
Only wise person can control their sentiments in this situation and can take the wise decision. |
