I like your questions a lot. Especially I like the fact that you realize that despite the outcome there might be more to this.
In general I like to raise my premiums regardless of the number of opp ... |

1st situation:
The pot's small and you've got a marginal hand. Hard to make a case for defending J crap kicker.
I'd check and maybe call one raise on the flop.
An unimproved turn and I check fold.

Forum: Florida Texas Hold'em Posted: Wed Feb 08, 2006 10:08 am Subject: What's the use of ace in a low straigh? |
| The only game I know of where an ace cannot be used for low is the old version of lowball, known as 2-7 (or Kansas City) Lowball (in that version straights invalidate a low, so 2-3-4-5-7 is the lowest ... |

| Chris, the thing you're missing is that if you raise pre-flop, you establish yourself as the offensive player in the hand. When (and it most likely will) it is checked around to you, even if you whiffe ... |

It depends on position...in EP I'll limp with any playable hand..
Late Position I'll raise with almost any playable hand if there are no raises before me. |

| Many inexperienced players overvalue suited aces. A5s is fine if there are other limpers early in a tournament and you have the chance to see the flop cheaply. When the blinds get big, it's a steal-on ... |

I am inclined to three bet here too. If my opponent caps then ... |

I personally don't consider AXs much of a hand until I see a flop. Chances are you will miss the flop and get stuck with either:
1. A pair of Aces with serious kicker problems. Problematic in that ... |

| I think, 44 (like any other pair) is playable in any position if the table is passive and loose enough. About 12% of the time you'll flop a set and get paid big time (allthough time to time you'll los ... |

| Its called being counterfieted. The same situation can happen when you hold a pocket pair, ex. 10 10, and your opponent has AK. If the board comes two pair higher than yours, let say Q Q J J 2, you've ... |

I was referring to a more sizeable all-in, if I didn't make that clear. But no, I would not call an all-in for 1/4 my stack with deuces.
To add to this, with 22 you are at best looking at a 55-50% ... |
